Helpful tips to assure the best output

Nesting
Please do not nest EPS files more than two deep.

Picture Format
EPS (vector) format files print higher quality than bitmapped formats (tiff, pict, etc.). TIFF images have a tendency to bitmap if reproduced larger or smaller than their original size.

File Format Please submit all page-layout files in their native format. Include all supporting documents and placed art on your disk.

Color Matching Boss Image Inc. conform to the industry standard Pantone Matching System (PMS) and CMYK process colors. We have maintained and fine turned our color management for years. Now, we can satisfy all our customers up to 80% of their color setting. You can help us a lot to achieve the best printing by following some simple steps in the “How to prepare your file” section.

How to prepare your file CMYK vs RGB
According to the printing technology, always save your art works in CMYK for accurate printing result. Never save in RGB, the prints may be out of your expectation.
Document size and Resolution setting
In order to have a fine prints, set your document size and output resolution as following.
• document size 100% of print size – 120dpi
• document size 50% of print size – 240dpi
• document size 25% of print size – 480dpi

Never set your document size less than 25% of the printing size. It will cause some unexpected result.

Creating TIFF from Quark Xpress or Adobe Illustrator Quark Xpress
Ensure all the images and fonts are correct. Click File>Save as to save the art work as EPS format. Open the new EPS file by Photoshop and then click File>Save as again, saving the file with TIFF format.

Adobe Illustrator
Open the AI or EPS file by Photoshop and click File>Save as to save in TIFF format.
